ur wild lands and rivers face unprecedented threats. The people who love them most are working to save them. Join us!

The Conservation Alliance works to protect threatened wild places for their habitat and recreation values. We collect annual dues from outdoor industry companies and give 100 percent of those funds to the most effective conservation organizations in North America. Through our funding program, we have contributed more than $7 million to efforts to save our last wild mountains, deserts, forests, rivers, climbing areas and coastlines. We also educate our members and outdoor enthusiasts about the projects we fund, and encourage them to take action to protect these spectacular wild places.

Over the past 20 years, The Conservation Alliance has helped protect 40 million acres of land, stop or remove 26 dams, and preserve access to thousands of miles of rivers and several climbing areas. Places we have helped protect include California’s Lost Coast, Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, Utah’s Dugout Ranch, the Rocky Mountain Front in Montana, and the Great Bear SilhoutteRainforest and Tatshenshini River Watershed, both in Canada. We’ve also helped acquire key climbing crags in the Gunks, Indian Creek, Peshastin Pinnacles in Washington State, and Laurel Knob in North Carolina. We work hard to identify the most effective conservation campaigns in the continent, and direct our support to grassroots organizations based in the communities closest to these threatened wild places.

We are thrilled to partner with La Sportiva on the Giving Greenbacks program. If you care about protecting North America’s last wild places, we hope you direct your support to The Conservation Alliance.
